  • Personal Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials managed securely via our authentication provider (Supabase).
  • Job Search Data: Details about your job applications, including company names, job titles, application statuses, salaries, and interview dates.
  • Documents and Content: Resumes (PDFs, text) you upload for ATS auditing, job descriptions you input, and the resulting AI-generated cover letters.
  • Usage Data: Automatically collected information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and how you interact with our application.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information collected via our application for a variety of business purposes described below:

  • To Provide and Maintain Our Service: Creating and managing your account, saving your job tracking data, and enabling secure login.
  • To Power AI Features: We process the resumes and job descriptions you provide to generate personalized cover letters and perform ATS audits. Your data is sent securely to our third-party AI providers (e.g., Google Gemini) strictly for generating your requested content.
  • To Improve Our Application: Analyzing usage patterns to enhance user experience, optimize our ATS parsing algorithms, and improve AI prompt engineering.
  • To Communicate with You: Sending you service-related announcements, security alerts, and support messages.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf. These include:

  • Database & Authentication: Supabase (for secure user management and PostgreSQL database hosting).
  • Hosting: Vercel (for frontend application hosting and edge functions).
  • AI Processing: Google Cloud / Gemini API (for processing resumes and generating cover letters). Note: We do not permit our AI partners to use your personal resumes or generated cover letters to train their foundational models.

5. Data Retention and Security

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law. When you delete your account, your personal data, job tracking records, uploaded resumes, and generated cover letters are permanently deleted from our active databases. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA). These may include the right to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, to request rectification or erasure, and to restrict the processing of your personal information.
