Why it exists#
An outdated pipeline gives you a false sense of security or panic. Updating statuses ensures Trackr can accurately remind you to follow up on stagnant applications.
How it works#
Trackr uses a linear progression of statuses, but you can jump between them as needed. Changing a status takes only a single click.
Step-by-step instructions#
You can update a status in several places:
From the Kanban Board (Fastest)#
- Go to the Kanban view.
- Click and hold the application card you want to update.
- Drag it to the column representing the new status.
- Drop the card. Trackr updates it instantly.
From the List View or Detail View#
- Locate the application.
- Find the current status badge (e.g., "Applied").
- Click the badge to open the status dropdown menu.
- Select the new status.
Tips#
Best Practices#
- Update immediately: If you get a rejection email or an interview invite, update Trackr right then. Don't let it pile up.
- Use "Withdrawn": If you decide you don't want the job anymore, use "Withdrawn" instead of "Rejected." This keeps your metrics accurate regarding employer interest.
FAQ#
Q: Can I add custom statuses like "Second Technical Interview"? A: To keep analytics robust, we group all interviews under the "Interviewing" status. We recommend using the Notes section or custom tags to denote specific interview rounds.
